So apparently there’s a war/race to see who can get 1 million followers first. The contenders are Ashton Kutcher vs CNN. Apparently this whole thing is getting lots of media coverage. I didn’t even know this was going on until I started catching up on my RSS feeds and 1 blog I follow was following the story.
Long story short, Ashton (@aplusk) challenged CNN, who apparently didn’t even have a Twitter account but then bought @cnnbrk for an undisclosed amount. Ashton has made some wages and several CNN celebs fired back (Larry King, Ted Turner). EA joined Ashton in giving the millioneth follower various prizes, like an appearance in a 2009 EA game (The Sims 3).
